About

Welcome to the Brass Artisan, a place where brass players can achieve their artistic potential.
My name is Jeffrey Popadic, and I am the founder of the Brass Artisan, a virtual music studio designed to provide the highest level of private instruction to brass players of all abilities. The virtual studio was born out of necessity from the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. I had long thought of offering virtual lessons but in-person lessons in the Boston area always kept me busy. Once the pandemic forced me to pivot to virtual lessons, I quickly realized that not only did I really enjoyed teaching this way, but students showed great improvement!
One night the fortune cookie in my take-out meal had the message “Education is the ability to meet life’s situations,” and I knew it was time to share my 30 years of experience and knowledge as a professional trumpet artist and educator to brass players near and far. Brass Artisan students regularly obtain goals both small and large, from creating their first sounds to successful college or festival auditions.
As a busy freelance artist in the Boston area, I perform with many of the region’s orchestras and chamber ensembles and have toured throughout the United States with the Epic Brass. As a K-12 music educator near Boston, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. With a BM and MM from Boston University, my principal teachers include Roger Voisin, Richard Green, Edward Reid and members of the Empire Brass Quintet.
Virtual music lessons with brassartisan.com are great for serious students of all abilities who are looking to improve their musicianship, distance learning, homeschoolers, audition preparation and busy comeback players. Let the Brass Artisan help you reach your artistic goals.
